HAND sTENCILED floral pattern

The Delacorte Theater has one of the largest stages, square footage wise, of all the New York City stages. First we textured the stage with a deck resurfacer for safety. After basing the stage we began to paint the large floral stencil pattern. Consisting of 6 different stencils we worked our across the stage. For the lift, corners, and edge of the stage we used the off cuts of the stencils, by tracing the shapes and painting them in by hand. The large letters were painted red to match.
